Among the objectives of the Cooperative is to promote the incorporation of women in the coffee business. The members of the cooperative normally cultivate 1-2 hectares of coffee that constitutes the main economic income in the family.
The Giling Basah process is typical of Sumatra. It gives more body and reduces acidity to the coffee.
Coffee especially benefits from organic farming techniques that strengthen soil fertility and species diversity.
