Green Land Farm is located on the road between Pyin Oo Lwin and Mogok, near the border of Mandalay Division and Northern Shan State. This is a family business run by U Sai Wan, who has childhood memories of seeing coffee farms along the road near Pyin Oo Lwin whenever his parents drove him from Yangon to visit his family in Northern Shan.
He now runs one of the largest Arabica plantations in the country (around 450 acres) and has won awards for several years from Myanmar's national quality competitions.
U Sai Wan is Sales Director of Mandalay Coffee Group, one of the top leaders of the Myanmar Coffee Association and an innovative leader of the national industry. He operates the farm together with his uncle and aunt, along with two local agronomists and many local workers.
Most of the coffee grown at Green Land is produced in Costa Rica, a Catimor variety, with SL34 making up around 10% of the farm. U Sai Wan is also experimenting with Yellow Bourbon, Caturra, Catuaí and Geisha.
In this coffee you will find notes of Vanilla, cherry, grape, almonds
(*) At Libis Café we recommend grinding the right amount of coffee before preparing it, so you can enjoy the drink at its best. That is why we only offer it in beans, but if you want it ground, leave us a note in the box in the cart and tell us your type of coffee maker.
