The Shwe Taung Thu farming group, which translates to “Golden Farmer,” is made up of Danu and Pa-O smallholder farmers who produce specialty coffees in the Ywangan area of southern Shan State, eastern Myanmar. The group provides leadership, financing, technical assistance and market links to its members with the aim of achieving fairer trading conditions for their coffees.
The coffees produced by Shwe Taung Thu are named after the villages where the coffee is grown and processed. Each community has its own working group that is responsible for managing coffee processing within each village. Production focuses exclusively on natural dried coffees: the climate and terroir are particularly suitable for this process, with very dry heat during the harvest season providing excellent conditions for drying.
Myin Kya Doe is named after the village where this coffee is grown, which has 450 households. The production of this coffee is managed by a core of about 10 members and this is the fourth year they have produced specialty coffee.
In this coffee you will find notes of lemon, blueberries, juicy and vibrant
(*) At Libis café we recommend grinding the right amount of coffee before preparing it, so you can enjoy the drink at its best. That's why we only offer it in beans, but if you want it ground, leave us a note in the cart box and tell us your type of coffee maker.
